Early Halloween celebration

There's something about February 14 that I never experienced to have a real date. Yes, I experienced having a boyfriend, but I never got the chance to have a real date. Ironically, I am an event organizer but I never encountered a guy who would be willing to date me. I am seriously laughing while typing in because I sound desperate on this blog. But really, this is just my way of expressing myself because, at the age of 32, I never come across a person who would like to celebrate Valentine's day with me.

How do I usually acknowledge this event? Well at first, it's the anniversary of my parents because they got married on Valentine's day. In the Philippines, we have a budget-friendly wedding for couples who would like to get married - but the set up is like a massive wedding at church with other couples.

So when Valentine's day is almost near and once I anticipated that I won't have a date on February 14, I always use my parent's anniversary as my excuse for them not to pity me. Don't get me wrong, I love celebrating with them, but of course, deep inside, I want to celebrate my own real Valentine's date. I am just lucky that my father often gives me flowers every February 14. You all would think that it's the sweetest. Yes, it is, but who else would give me flowers aside from him?

I believe I mentioned having a boyfriend before and you all would wonder why I never received any from them? I don't know but I always notice that most of my ex-boyfriends would break up with me every January. The next boyfriend would appear around November or December. It's so irritating because aside from Valentine's day, I also never experienced celebrating my birthday with a romantic partner. Unlucky right?

Most of the time, I just watch movies or drama, alone or with family. We typically celebrate my parent's wedding anniversary at the mall. Sometimes I just want to experience going to a bar and try drinking alone. Because maybe, I will meet someone who is also desperate to meet someone on the same day.

For those of you who are having the same dilemma as mine, it's not okay. You would expect that I would be positive in this blog? No. I highly suggest that find a diversion to overcome your loneliness. Besides, this year, Chinese New Year and Valentine's day are on the same week to celebrate either of the two. So we have another excuse not to be pitied by anyone. Haha. Another thing is that February only has 28 days, so it will pass. Good luck!
