They say that 6 out of 10 people are either registered to a dating website or have a dating app. Here are some common questions that I got from my students with my personal opinion.

Can two people fall in love over the internet without meeting each other first?

- In my opinion, people should meet first before getting into next level. You don't want to look miserable and end up regretting in the end.

How acceptable is online dating in your country?

- The funny thing about using a dating app in the Philippines is that all of dating apps can be used. Sometimes, you matched them on Tinder, but you already blocked them into some apps like Tagged or Skout. It only means that a person could have more than 2 dating applications on their phone.

What are some of the good and bad things about online dating?

- In one sentence, "Easy come, easy go."

Do you know anyone who has met their husband or wife online?

- I believe there are many of them. But the question is until when?

When getting to know someone is it better to talk with them or text them?

- You don't know the tone of a text message unless you know how to express your feelings through emoticons, stickes or GIFs. So if you're not good at it, better to call them and express how you feel. Videocall is the best. :)

How do you think apps like Tinder have changed online dating?

- It's a matter of swiping left and right. Match and unmatch. It's as fast as taking a bullet train in Japan. You won't realize their gone.

What are some of the most interesting or unique dating apps you have heard of?

- I believe Tinder is still a unique dating app because of all dating apps, it doesn't have a videocall feature until now.

Do you think that all the tech solutions to dating have made dating easier or more complicated?

- It's partly yes and no. Yes, because there are some successful stories. No, because I am still on a trial and error phase.
